DESCRIPTION
Bag Filters are used for the filtration of fluids that have a relatively small loading of particles to be removed. The particle suspension passes through and the particles settle in the bag. The Filtration occurs from inside to outside with a water pressure of more than 2kg/cm2. Therefore, these bag filters are normally used with a supporting vessel called bag filter housing. In situations where support cannot be used, the pressure drop across the filter needs to be lower.
It is normally made from needle-punched nonwovens and acts as depth filters. Also, the bag is stitched from the edges.
A bag filter is currently used in many industries where filtration is less critical and the bags can be easily disposed of. The main purpose of a Bag Filter is to filter out the impurities such as sand, dust, etc from water.
Benefits
- Filters all the physical impurities like sand, mud, etc.
- Easy to use
- 5-Micron size so filtration will be better.
- Easy to maintain and replace.
